What are the peak periods in Budapest?

Budapest has several peak periods when you can charge 2–3x the usual rate:

Major events (2–3x price increase + min. 3–4 night minimum):

• Hungaroring (Formula 1) — typically late July / early August
• Sziget Festival — typically early/mid August
• New Year's Eve — December 28 – January 3

Smaller peak periods (10–50% increase):

• Easter, Whitsun, August 20 (national holiday)
• Conferences, sports events
• Spring and autumn (generally strong seasons)

Tip: price the days before and after events at premium rates too!
