How do I avoid double bookings when listing on multiple platforms?
If you list on Airbnb, Booking.com, Szállás.hu or other portals simultaneously, two guests may book the same dates.
Prevention methods:
- iCal sync: both Airbnb and Booking.com allow calendar sync via iCal links. Set this up between every platform pair. Downside: can have a 2–3 hour delay.
- Channel manager software: more reliable solution, syncs bookings across all platforms in real time.
If it happens anyway:
- Contact one of the guests immediately.
- Offer an alternative date or help find other accommodation.
- Both Airbnb and Booking.com allow booking transfers.
